William Temple Hornagay Noted American Zoologist, Explorer, Author Signed Letter

William Temple Hornaday [1854 1937] was an noted American zoologist, conservationist, explorer and author who is credited with revolutionizing museum exhibits by displaying wildlife in their natural settings. He is also credited with discovering the American crocodile and saving the American bison and the Alaskan fur seal from extinction. Listed for auction is a [TLS] typed letter signed by William Temple Hornaday on the letterhead of The Mashipacong Club. The letter is dated June 10, 1904 and is nicely signed ''W. Hornaday'' in black fountain pen. The letter measures 5.50 x 8.00 inches and has one irregular edge which can be matted out if desired otherwise the letter is in very good condition. The autograph is authentic, uncommon and the letter is a nice example of this noted zoologist and explorer. We have listed a nice collection of military, aviation, explorers, political and astronaut autographs.
