This is the same tape that we've always sold; now it just has printed on the paper backing. It is authentic 3M 1522 tape, distributed by Walker Tape Co. Walker buys huge rolls and has the paper backing printed with their identifying information and cuts the tapes to different contours and rolls. Walker is printing all tape with white paper backing to authenticate the tape. There are fake products out there and this way you know you are getting an authentic Walker cut and distributed 3M product.
3M Clear 1522 Medical Grade adhesive tape is designed for daily wear (1-7 days*) and is for use polyurethane bases, coating and tape tabs. This 3M is CLEAR, DOUBLE SIDED and has medium tack for medium security and daily wear use; it has a white paper backing on both sides. It provides daily wear security and ease of maintenance. Tapes is shiny and measure approx. 3" wide and 7/8" high.
THIS TAPE IS NOT FOR USE ON LACE OR MONOFILAMENT BASES, for these bases use tape specially made for lace such as Lace Front (Blue Liner), No Shine, Ultra Hold, Walker No Shine, Extenda-Bond or other tape described for use on lace bases.
*Attachment time varies from one individual to another depending on body chemistry and activity level. Oily skin, humidity and perspiration can interfere with or reduce the hold time and oily skin can prevent the tape from sticking so skin should always be properly prepared before applying adhesive. We recommend using Scalp Protector, which puts a barrier between the skin and tape/glue and may help to increase hold time as well as protect skin from irritation; individual results vary. Brand new wigs and hair systems should be washed before first use to remove any chemicals the manufacturer applied that may prevent tape and glue from sticking to the base.
