    Description

    A nice old BROWN INTERNATIONAL SPECIALTY POSTAGE STAMP ALBUM (The pages are printed on ONLY one side---the forerunner of the green specialty series)....Nineteenth Century Vol. II (Modena thru Zululand plus US envelopes & revenues after Zululand). This is the 1902 edition of the better album with the heavy duty binder & gold gild on the edge of the pages. There are a very few hinge marks/remnants where stamps have been removed. I would guess that over 90% of the pages have never had a stamp on them. The binder is in very good condition except for some scuff wear. There are a few pages missing---the 1st 2-3 pages of North Borneo; the 2nd page from Reunion and also from St. Pierre & the 1st couple of pages from the US envelopes section. There is some slight damage to a few of the pages, due mostly to turning the pages. The rest of the pages are in very good condition. There are spacers every 4-5 pages to allow for expansion when the album is full of stamps. The spine is 2 3/4 inches thick.  A nice old album in decent usable condition.
