Description
Offered for sale is a rare, signed official letter by ROBERT F. KENNEDY, dated December 1, 1964, on stationary labelled “Volunteers for Johnson-Humphrey-Kennedy” and with the original envelope to the original recipient, with postage ($.05!) date-stamped on the same date.
This was in my mom’s possession when she passed away, along with another signed letter and some vintage post cards that I am listing in a separate auction.
As a bonus in this auction, I am also including a card,
printed but not signed, to the same recipient as the letter above, but from the office of Edward Kennedy.
It comes with the original envelope, hand-addressed (undoubtedly by one of Ted Kennedy’s staffers) and date-stamped Nov. 17, 1964.
The card, on a plain ivory 3.5”x5.5” heavy stock card, states “Senator and Mrs. Edward M. Kennedy wish to express their warm thanks to you for your kind message of congratulations”.
These are two great pieces of ephemera for any collector interested in politics, and the Kennedy dynasty in particular!
Will be shipped in a flat rate envelope.
If you bid and win both of my RFK auctions, I will combine them both in the flat rate envelope and you will pay only one shipping charge.
