Poole Silver Company Large Oblong Trivet Art Nouveau #7326

Description

This beautiful oblong trivet is a stunning piece of art nouveau design from the Poole Silver Company.  The trivet's exact age is unknown, but it does date between 1890-1970, as the company began producing in 1893 and was sold to Towle Mfg. Co in 1971.
It measures 13 inches when opened and 11 inches when closed, with a width of 8.5 inches.   It is solid, heavy and well made, and has a weight of 1 pound and 9 ounces, is silver plated copper, and is marked as such. Perfect for use as a dish or coaster, this piece would make a magnificent addition to any collection of vintage or antique silver items.
