***Civil War Day Dress Pattern***
**Butterick Making History Design 5831**
Includes patterns and instructions for making historical Day dress and petticoat. Dress has loose-fitting, boned bodice, front extending to upper back, no shoulder seams, side back seams, gathered waist (by hand), inside ribbon, skirt front opening, bias, self piping, French seams, modesty sleeves, long sleeves with seam opening and button cuffs. Pleated petticoat has waistband and back opening. This appears to be more of a TRUE historical pattern giving instruction for original methods of construction rather than a costume pattern that uses modern methods to look like the real thing.
Designed to be worn over a 150 inch circumference hoop which is
NOT
