Lee De Forest [1873 1961] was an American inventor who is referred to as the ''Father of Radio'' who was a pioneer in the development of sound-on-film recording used for motion pictures. De Forest was also awarded over 180 patents during his
lifetime
in the fields of telegraphy, telephony, television and radar. Listed for auction is a check signed by Lee De Forest. The check is drawn upon the Lake Shore National Bank and is dated Sep 7, 1948. The check is completed in his hand and is signed ''Lee de Forest'' in blue fountain pen. The check measures 6.25 x 3.00 inches and is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic, hand signed and is a nice example of this prominent inventor. We have listed a collection of military, aviation, historical, astronaut and political autographs.
