    Description

One of my favorite political T-shirts, the logo for Beto's 2018 campaign for U.S. Senate in Texas is a play on the first flag of the Republican of Texas. It's known as the
     de Zavala flag:
    T
his flag has become known as the first official Flag of the Republic of Texas, accepted by the March, 1836 convention that drafted the Texas Declaration of Independence from Mexico and the original Texas Constitution. Notable Tejano patriot Lorenzo de Zavala is the credited designer of this “Lone Star National Flag of The Republic of Texas.” No known surviving replica of the flag exists. It is believed to be a five-point white star on a blue field with the letters “T E X A S” inscribed between the points.
In the case of Beto's version of the logo, the letters "B" "E" "T" and "O" are between the star points, with the number "18" (the year of the election) at the bottom between star points. It is an unusual T-shirt that does not come up for sale often.
This shirt is navy blue with a white logo, like the original historic flag. It has been worn a lot, the cloth is soft, and the logo is appropriately faded. See photos for detail.
The shirt is in good shape, there's been little shrinkage. I can find no rips or missing stitches or tears in the shirt, other than a small 2x3mm hole near the bottom front hem. Like the logo, the shirt has been appropriately faded, though still navy blue.
