Born in Sherman, Grant County, Ky., November 29, 1851. Democrat. Lawyer; Grant County Prosecuting Attorney, 1872-76; member of Kentucky state house of representatives, 1885-87; member of Kentucky state senate, 1887-90; U.S. Representative from Kentucky 6th District, 1890-93. Died January 31, 1923 (age 71 years, 63 days). Cremated; ashes interred at City Cemetery.
